Raffle Tickets - Win a night stay at the Hilton Santa Fe Historic Plaza!

NMAND will be raffling off a one night stay at the Hilton Santa Fe Historic Plaza for the 2016 NMAND Annual Meeting (April 25 and 26, 2016). Raffle tickets are available for $10 each. The winner will be selected February 26, 2016 at the NMAND Board Meeting. All proceeds from raffle ticket sales will go to the Karen Sadaghian Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Karen Sadeghian Scholarship

Karen Sadeghian was an outstanding dietitian who practiced in many areas of nutrition, including the New Mexico State Department developing teaching units to educate others in nutrition for children with special needs.

In her memory, the New Mexico Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics will hold the Karen Sadeghian Symposium and present one $500 scholarship to a deserving student enrolled in nutrition/dietetics at a university in a New Mexico at the graduate level and/or enrolled in a dietetic internship.

NMAND Scholarships

New Mexico Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (NMAND) has two $750 scholarships available for New Mexico Nutrition Students. Completed applications are usually due in February of each year, and scholarships are awarded at the Annual Meeting in April. For more information please contact our Nominating Chair.

2015 Application

Undergraduate Student Scholarship Qualifications:

  • Applicant must be a student officially admitted to a nutrition/dietetics program at a New Mexico school.
  • Applicant will be enrolled as an undergraduate next year.
  • Applicant will be a resident of New Mexico.
  • GPA of 3.0 or greater.
  • Be a student member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.

Graduate Scholarship Qualifications:

  • Applicant must be officially admitted to a graduate program or internship at a New Mexico school.
  • Applicant will be enrolled as a graduate/intern next year.
  • Applicant will be a resident of New Mexico.
  • GPA of 3.0 or greater.
  • Be a student member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
